Automation Engineer (W/M)
Amilly, France | Full-time
Reporting to the Automation Manager, you will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from defining client needs to commissioning installations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Participating in defining project requirements with the project team and the client (with or without specifications).
- Selecting and specifying automation equipment in collaboration with suppliers.
- Programming PLCs and HMIs (Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC Flexible) for complex production machines.
- Conducting testing, debugging, and fine-tuning during assembly and commissioning phases in the workshop.
- Ensuring machine safety, ergonomics, and performance optimization.
- Occasionally participating in electrical schematic design and control panel wiring.
- Performing on-site commissioning and troubleshooting at customer sites (approx. 80% in France, 20% in Europe), totaling around 30 travel days per year.
Profile :
- Education: Technical degree (Bac +2 or higher) in automation, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience: 3–5 years in a similar position within an industrial environment.
- Proficiency in Siemens PLC and HMI programming (TIA Portal, WinCC Flexible).
- Ability to read and design electrical schematics.
- Strong understanding of customer needs and ability to adapt technical solutions accordingly.
- Hardware and wiring skills appreciated.
- Good level of technical English.
