Head of Software Development (M/F)
📍 Neuville-sur-Saône (69250) | Permanent Contract | Innovative and International SME
Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing the company’s strategic business software, deployed both internally and with clients.
Your main responsibilities include :
Analysis & Design :
- Gather user requirements and define the software architecture
- Establish technical specifications
Development & Quality :
- Guide technological choices
- Ensure modern development practices
- Guarantee code quality
Project Management :
- Lead projects in terms of planning, budget, and quality
- Ensure compliance with internal and international standards
Management :
- Supervise and coordinate internal and external development teams in a multicultural environment
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing
Innovation :
- Conduct ongoing technology watch
- Anticipate software evolution and drive digital transformation
Profile Sought :
- PhD or Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Solid experience in software development and IT project management
- Strong knowledge of software architectures and expertise in Java
- Proficiency in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, OVH) and in data, algorithms, and modeling
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and collaborative tools (Redmine, Sourcetree)
- Knowledge of JavaFX, Jakarta (Eclipse), and hardware basics is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in French and English
