Startup&Angels at the Startup World Cup 2025 Finale

From October 15 to 17, 2025, the Startup World Cup, organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures, brought together over 100 startups from around the world in San Francisco. For the first time, France was represented thanks to the initiative of Startup&Angels, part of the Australiance Group, which led a Franco-Australian delegation to the heart of the Silicon Valley.

France makes its historic debut

2025 marked a key milestone: the first-ever French participation in the Startup World Cup. To select the top French startups, Startup&Angels organized two flagship regional competitions:

  • Paris – June 12, 2025, alongside VivaTech at the Village by CA Paris

  • Aix-en-Provence – July 2, 2025, in conjunction with the Rencontres Économiques

Out of more than 150 applications, two French startups stood out:

  • Nūmi® (winner of SWC Paris), founded by Eden Banon-Lagrange, which is reinventing infant health by reproducing the unique properties of breast milk in the lab.

  • Initiativ (winner of SWC Aix-en-Provence), led by Isaure Courcenet, offering an innovative platform for trading European carbon quotas.

A Franco-Australian delegation at the heart of Silicon Valley

As part of its Startup&Angels Global Accelerator Program, powered by Epic Execution, the network led a Franco-Australian delegation to the 2025 Startup World Cup Grand Finale.

Startup&Angels was supported by renowned partners, including United Airlines, Startup Daily, Noah Connect, Stripe, and many others.

The delegation included the French and Australian winners of the regional competitions, as well as several international entrepreneurs and mentors. From October 13 to 18, participants took part in a full week of immersion in the Silicon Valley ecosystem, featuring:

  • Workshops at the Alliance Française de San Francisco, in partnership with La French Tech SF, Business France, and a US law firm;

  • A Pre–Startup World Cup Networking Party at Mindspace San Francisco, facilitating connections between investors and founders;

  • Three days of pitches and conferences at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.

The startups Nūmi® and Initiativ stood out for their bold approaches and international ambition, alongside their Australian counterparts.

An international springboard for Francophone innovation

The 2025 podium recognized:

  • Coreshell (USA) – battery technology with encapsulated silicon anodes

  • Intuition Robotics (Israel) – an AI-powered empathetic companion for seniors

  • BuuPass (Kenya) – a digital platform for intercity transport booking

Beyond the competition, this first Franco-Australian participation symbolized an unprecedented collaboration between European and Asian ecosystems, led by Startup&Angels, which continues to strengthen its role as a bridge between continents and an accelerator for high-potential international startups.
